5 Ways to Relieve Office Stress
Do you often feel like you have too much office stress? Here are 5 ways you can relieve office stress.
1. Take a break
We all get an email or phone call that just tips us over the edge. It leaves your blood pressure boiling. Your head spinning. Before you do something that could bite you in the rear, might we suggest stepping away from your work station for a moment. Take a break to calm down. Go to the restroom for a minute to breath in peace. Take a brisk walk around the office or out to your car to help relieve office stress. Come back once you have had time to cool off. This will help you to not allow your stress to dictate your actions.
2. Make a list of what needs to get done for the day
First thing in the morning, or even better, before you leave the night before, make a list of everything that HAS to get done the next day. Order it from most important to least and put it right where you will notice it. This allows you to organize your day and gives you the ability to get in front of anything that might cause you stress. You have a report due that your boss is going to ask about by lunch? Get it done first so you don’t have to worry about it.
3. Talk to an office buddy
Everyone has an office bestie that they can commiserate with on all of the crap that the boss or co-worker you mutually dislike does. When you feel like you have too much on your plate, take a quick minute for a gab fest. It will give you the chance to blow off some steam and to have a laugh or two. Just don’t get sucked into the negative spiral of complaining all the time. This can blow up in your face and actually cause you more stress in the long run.
4. Use your CBD
When you feel especially stressed and anxious, try taking a dose of CBD. CBD has calming affects and many people report lower anxiety levels when taking it regularly. A good selection would be our chocolates to give you a little bit of a chocolate fix or our gummies.
5. Take a day off
If the stress of your job is taking your happiness level down a notch more often than not, you need a break. Take a day or week off to recharge your sense of joy and be ready to come back with a fresh perspective on all of the stress in the office.
