FAQ
What is Cannabidiol (CBD)?
Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a compound in cannabis and industrial hemp that is currently being studied for medicinal benefits. It does not make people feel high. In fact, it can actually counteract the psychoactive effects of THC. (Source: www.projectcbd.com) Cannabinoids are naturally found in the industrial hemp plant. The most abundant one found in the hemp plant may promote and support the nutritional health of aging bodies. What is an Endocannabinoid System (ECS)?
We all have an Endocannabinoid System (ECS) consisting of two types of cannabinoid receptors. The CB1 receptors are found primarily in the brain and the central nervous system. The CB2 receptors are distributed but primarily found in the immune system.
CBD and other cannabinoids affect our bodies by interacting with these receptors. Scientific research has shown that CBD may offer therapeutic benefits which are still being studied.(Source: www.projectcbd.com) Cannabinoids interact with our Endocannabinoid System, or ECS, which consists of a series of receptors located in the brain, central nervous system, and many other areas. The ECS helps promote and regulate various important biological processes. Our bodies produce some cannabinoids (like anandamide) on their own.
What is the difference between industrial hemp and marijuana?
Industrial hemp is rich in non-psychoactive phytocannabinoids. Marijuana is just the opposite; its top cannabinoid, THC, causes a “high.” Strains of industrial hemp are grown legally in dozens of countries worldwide and some US states. Industrial hemp is sold in all US states and a recent bill passed by the federal government makes industrial hemp and its products a cash crop

Are the Hemp Oil & Hemp related products we sell legal?
CBD sourced properly from industrial hemp oil is legal in the U.S.
Will I fail a drug test?
Most drug tests in the workplace search for the psychoactive compound THC, not Cannabidiol (CBD) or other compounds found naturally in hemp. Our raw extracts contain varying percentages of CBD and other cannabinoids (concentrations ranging from 10%-99%). Each of the products we offer have a unique formulation, maximizing a particular set of benefits through a carefully selected ratio of our different extracts. Our CBD isolate is more than 99% pure CBD. However, we recommend that you make the decision if this product is right for your situation.
Does Hemp Extract or CBD get you high?
Absolutely not. In order to be legally considered hemp, the hemp plant must contain less than 0.3% THC. THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the psychoactive chemical compound found in cannabis. The 0.3% amount of THC is negligible and cannot produce a high. In fact, CBD is known to counteract the psychoactive properties of THC.
What does hemp taste like?
We’ve heard hemp described as good and bad tasting. The honest truth is…it depends on your personal preferences, just like any other food. If you don’t like earthy flavors, we suggest using a flavored product. Once you start using the product, the initial aftertaste does goes away.
Isn’t this the same as what I find in my grocery store of whole food store?
Hemp extract is not the same as what you’d find in the grocery store. You can buy hemp seeds and hemp seed oil in stores, but it is not the same as hemp oil extract. Oil extracted from the seeds of the hemp plant is extremely nutritious but does not contain phytocannabinoids, which are a part of a diverse class of chemical compounds. Hemp oil extract contains many phytocannabinoids including cannabidiol (CBD), which is being studied extensively for its beneficial properties. Hemp seed oil does not contain CBD.
Is it legal to buy or sell Hemp oil in my state?
Properly sourced hemp oil can be sold in all 50 U.S. states. If sourced properly, hemp oil extract is legal to sell and purchase in all 50 states. Again, to be considered hemp, the cannabis plant must have less than 0.3% THC. The hemp used in our products is sourced from hemp farms in Kentucky and Colorado and is 100% domestic. It is manufactured and sold out of Michigan.
Can CBD help with chronic pain and joint issues?
While we are not doctors and always recommend that you consult with your doctor before beginning a new supplement some individuals have found relief with the use of CBD products. According to the American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM), chronic pain affects more Americans than heart disease, cancer, and diabetes combined.* As we age, our load-bearing joints, such as our knees or hips, as well as our necks and lower backs, can be the source of great pain and discomfort. CBD inflammation products can be an important intervention to this chronic pain. The report from the AAPM highlights significant issues surrounding mental health, sleep, and time off work related to chronic pain.
